A chicken curry with cashews both ground and whole

Ingredients
- 1 kgChicken, diced
 - 400 gmsOnions, chopped
 - 4Green chillies, sliced
 - 6Cloves
 - 4Cardamom
 - 1 pieceCinnamon
 - 1 tspPepper
 - ½ tspTurmeric powder
 - 50 gmsGinger, minced
 - 50 gmsGarlic, minced
 - 400 mlCoconut milk, canned
 - 10Raw cashews, ground
 - 15Raw cashews, whole
 - 100 gmsOnions, sliced
 - 12Curry leaves
 - Oil
 - Salt
 
Preparation
- Heat oil, fry chopped onion, green chillies
 - Add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, pepper (you can powder them if you don't like whole spices in your curry)
 - Add turmeric powder and fry
 - Add ginger, garlic and fry till onion is soft
 - Add diced chicken and fry till no longer pink
 - Add half the coconut milk, ground cashews, 1 cup water, stir and simmer till chicken is cooked
 - Add remaining coconut milk, stir and simmer for 10 minutes
 - In a separate small pan, heat oil till hot, add sliced onions, curry leaves and fry till onions are browned
 - Add whole cashews and fry till slightly brown
 - Add to curry and stir
