Indian Chicken Soup

A spicy chicken soup

Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • 200 gmsChicken, finely diced
  • ½ tspChilli powder
  • ½ tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tbspGhee
  • 4Cloves
  • 3Green cardamom
  • 1 pieceCinnamon
  • ½ tspPeppercorns
  • 4Curry leaves
  • 1 tbspGinger, minced
  • 1 tbspGarlic, minced
  • 200 gmsTomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cupsChicken stock
  • 2 tbspFresh coriander, chopped
  •  Salt

Preparation

  1. Marinate the diced chicken in chilli powder and turmeric for an hour
  2. Heat ghee and add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, peppercorns and let them crackle
  3. Add curry leaves
  4. Add ginger and garlic and fry
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes and marinated chicken and fry till chicken is no longer pink
  6. Add chicken stock and 2 cups of water and simmer
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander before serving
